In an perceptive Telegraph article headed: "In a land without morals, it's no wonder children kill each other",

author Jeff Randall quoted the Chief Rabbi. Here is what he said:

's Chief Rabbi, Sir Jonathan Sacks, sums up the anxieties of many: "We are living through the death of civility … Today, it is commonplace to encounter road rage, muggings, street crime, drunkenness, lager louts, hoodies, yobbishness and laddishness. Yes, indeed, the death of civility. Now could this be the same Chief Rabbi who has repeatedly failed to condemn the blasphemous, pornographic, thoroughly uncivil statue of Jesus Christ with a phallus stuck on the front, owned by his well-healed friends Poju and Anita Zabludowicz? http://www.christianvoice.org.uk/anita.html The statue which they stubbornly kept on public display at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead earlier this year knowing full well it was offending good taste and decency and the civilised values of ordinary people including Christians, among them Christian friends of
Israel

Yes sadly it is the same Chief Rabbi, and the same statue. And the Chief Rabbi just cannot stop pontificating about the importance of civilised values, despite failing to display them in his own ministry and his chums trampling them in the mud.
