'The Government's plan to offer therapy to Muslim extremists instead of prosecution is criticised today by the leader of Christian prayer and lobby group.
Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice said today:
'What extremist won't sign up for therapy to escape prosecution for terrorism? The trouble is, the idea would have to use the techniques of the
to have a hope of success. Even then, Soviet-style brain-washing failed to crush all but a few of those Christians who fell foul of it. Even the Chinese find they cannot beat religion out of people, although that does not stop them trying. What hope has a well-meaning middle-aged lady and a cup of coffee against someone of deep Muslim convictions and a solid grounding in Islamic theology? They will simply deceive the counsellors and carry on as normal.'
